Project to save Chinese folk heritage

The China Society for the Study of Folk Literature and Art displayed the
first batch of folk art protected by "the Project to Save Chinese Folk
Cultural Heritage" in Beijing's Great Hall of the People. The project was
initiated to protect Chinese folk culture from the impact of
globalization and modernization. Since the project was launched in 2003,
it has made some achievements.
