Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Vice Premier Huang Ju gave instructions that local officials do whatever is necessary to rescue the victims, treat the injured, and prevent any re-occurrence of such an accident. Meanwhile, a work team led by State Councilor Hua Jianmin arrived at the accident site on Tuesday morning, to supervise the rescue work and deal with the disaster's aftermath. Hua Jianmin, and two top provincial leaders of Liaoning Province, inspected the coal mine and expressed the concerns of the Party and state leaders.
