Popular Jingdezhen porcelains

More than 20,000 porcelain artworks modelled primarily on the Tang
(618-907), Song (960-1279), Yuan (1206-1367), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing
(1616-1911) Dynasties were displayed and sold in Hai'an, Jiangsu province
from January 11 to 21. These porcelain artworks were sold at prices
ranging from several yuan to more than 200,000 yuan. Jingdezhen
porcelains are famous both locally and abroad for their four
characteristics, "white as jade, bright as mirror, thin as paper, sound
like a chime". The porcelain artworks in the exhibition were popular
among the citizens in Hai'an.
