Come and touch the history in China with famous ancient civilization and
culture! Beijing, as the political center now, is endowed with both
ancient and modern cultures; and Urumqi, a capital in the largest Uigur
assembling region sparkles the variety of different nationalities, and
Dunhuang, was once the holy place on the Silk Road. Xian, was luckily
chosen by the first Emperor of united China - Qin Shi Huang as the center
of the country; Lhasa, has been a dream of many people for the mysterious
people, its culture, arts, civilization and most importantly, its
religion.
Day by Day Itinerary
Departure: Daily
Great Wall of China
Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel.
The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Accommodation: Golden Palace Silver Street Hotel
Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.

Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall, the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B+L)

Day 04: Beijing
The hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. We intend to
leave the day free for you to absorb something of the vibrant atmosphere
of Beijing. (B)

Jiaohe Ruins, Turpan
Day 05: Beijing - Urumqi
Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Urumqi and transfer to the
hotel. (B+L)

Day 06: Urumqi - Turpan
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the
Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. (B+L)

Day 07: Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the Gaochang Ruins, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave and the
Flaming Hill. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B+L)

Day 08: Dunhuang
Pick you up at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. You will
experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the
Crescent Lake and visit the Mogao Grottoes. Breakfast is on your side. (L)

Day 09: Dunhuang - Xian
Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Provincial
History Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. (B+L)

Flaming Hill, Turpan
Day 10: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Afternoon is free, you are
suggested to visit the City Wall, the Great Mosque and have some free
time to explore the Bazaar near the Mosque by yourselves. (B+L)

Day 11: Xian - Lhasa
You are suggested to take a shuttle bus to the airport and the bus stop
is very near to your hotel. Board the flight to Lhasa by yourselves. Our
guide will pick you up at Lhasa airport where the altitude is 3,600
meters above sea level. Transfer to the hotel. Acclimatize yourself to
the high altitude in the afternoon. Lunch is on your side. (B)

Day 12: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit
the Sera Monastery and the Norbulingka Park. (B+L)

Day 13: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street.
After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibet Museum,
the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. (B+L)

Day 14: Lhasa - Gyangtse
Drive to Gyangtse and transfer to the hotel. Stop off at the Yamdrok
Yumtso Lake. Visit the Palkhor Monastery and the Gyangtse Old Street.

Day 15: Gyangtse - Shigatse
Drive to Shigatse and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Tashilunpo
Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen. (B+L)

Day 16: Shigatse - Lhasa
Drive back to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)
Accommodation: ShangBaLa Hotel
Day 17: Lhasa - Shanghai
Visit a Tibetan family. Take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, please
go to the hotel we have booked for you by yourselves. (B+L)

Day 18: Shanghai
The hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. You are
suggested to visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden and the Bund on
your own. (B)

activities are arranged by yourselves. (B)
